For walkers, the cottage is close to both the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the spectacular Preseli Hills.
For the active, a short drive west takes you to Newgale beach or Whitesands Bay, both renowned for surfing and kayaking. Golf courses are available at St David’s, Newport and Haverfordwest. There are also plenty of opportunities for activities such as coasteering, horse riding and boat trips.
For families, Whitesands Bay is popular and also Newport Sands, a short drive to the east. Theme parks including Folly Farm and Oakwood are in easy driving distance.

Ropeyard Cottage is situated on the south side of Fishguard with a glimpse of Fishguard Bay and a view to Dinas Head from the master bedroom window. It is only five minutes’ walk to the local shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and takeaways.
Ropeyard Cottage is available all year round for short breaks and holidays for up to 6 guests. Parking for one car on the drive, with ample space on the quiet cul-de-sac road outside for a 2nd car. Lockable storage for bicycles and/or kayaks available if requested when booking. There is good mobile reception at the cottage.

Ropeyard Cottage is very well equipped, including:
Gas central heating, electric cooker with ceramic hob, full size dishwasher, microwave, fridge, washing machine, separate fridge/freezer, WIFI, flat screen Freeview TV, DVD player (small DVD library), clock radio, mini hi-fi system, travel cot, highchair, stairgate, iron & ironing board.
All bed linen (except for cots), tea towels and kitchen/WC hand towels are provided. A pair of bath & hand towels are also provided for each guest.
There is an extensive library of fiction books as well as maps, guide books, walking routes and up-to-date tourist information in the cottage. For young families there are various board games and toys as well as the safe, enclosed garden.
